1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of VeraAI, a product operated by veravita ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or using VeraAI in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

VeraAI provides businesses with an AI-powered chat assistant ("Vera") that can be configured with the customer's own business information and embedded on the customer's website. The service includes a dashboard, knowledge base tools, PDF upload, and an embeddable chat widget.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use VeraAI.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

VeraAI is offered on a subscription basis. Fees are billed monthly or annually depending on your selected plan, in advance, via our payment processor (Stripe). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you will not be charged again. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.

5. Usage Limits

Each plan includes a monthly message allowance as described on our pricing page. If you exceed your plan's limit, your AI agent may stop responding until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan or purchase additional message capacity.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use VeraAI to: violate any law or regulation; transmit harmful, abusive, or illegal content; infringe on intellectual property rights; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; or use the service to build a competing product. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

7. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of the business information, knowledge base content, and documents you upload to VeraAI. By submitting this content, you grant us a limited license to use it solely for the purpose of operating and providing the service to you (i.e., powering your AI agent). We do not use your business data to train AI models for other customers.

8. Third-Party Services

VeraAI relies on third-party providers to operate, including Anthropic (AI model processing), Supabase (data storage), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery). Your use of VeraAI is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers where relevant.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep VeraAI available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, veravita shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of VeraAI, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or for any other reason at our discretion, with reasonable notice where possible. Upon termination, your right to use VeraAI ends immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms will survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website. Continued use of VeraAI after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

This Privacy Policy explains how veravita ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use VeraAI. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: email address, password (stored securely), and company name when you create an account.

Business content: the knowledge base text, PDF documents, and configuration you provide to train your AI agent.

Conversation data: messages exchanged between your website visitors and your Vera agent, used to provide the service and shown in your dashboard.

Lead data: if a visitor voluntarily shares their name and email during a conversation, this is saved as a lead and made visible only to the relevant business account.

Payment information: processed directly by Stripe; we do not store full payment card details on our own servers.

Usage data: message counts and basic usage statistics, used to enforce plan limits and show you analytics.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to: provide and operate VeraAI; power your AI agent with your business knowledge; process payments and manage subscriptions; send transactional emails (such as welcome emails and login details); enforce usage limits; respond to support requests; and improve the service.

4. Data Isolation

Each customer's business data, knowledge base, conversations, and leads are isolated and only accessible to that customer's account. Your data is never used to train AI models for other customers and is never shared with other VeraAI clients.

5. Third-Party Processors

We use the following third-party services to operate VeraAI, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices:

Anthropic — processes conversation content to generate AI responses.

Supabase — stores account, conversation, and lead data.

Stripe — processes payments and subscription billing.

Resend — sends transactional emails such as welcome messages.

Netlify — hosts the VeraAI application and website.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and conversation data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data may be retained for a reasonable period afterward in case you wish to reactivate, after which it may be permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@veravita.ai.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies and Local Storage

VeraAI uses browser session storage to keep you logged in during your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

10. Children's Privacy

VeraAI is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States and European Union, depending on where our service providers operate. We rely on our providers' compliance with applicable data protection frameworks.
